
UNESCO organizează concursul sub egida Deceniului internațional al științelor pentru dezvoltare durabilă (IDSSD), ca parte a proiectului UNESCO-UNITRAIN de dezvoltare a competențelor tinerilor (proiectul YCD UNESCO).
Concursul IIDA își propune să prezinte și să promoveze proiecte și propuneri inovatoare și durabile din partea tinerilor talentați din întreaga lume.
IDSSD reprezintă o oportunitate unică pentru umanitate de a valorifica întregul potențial al științei în urmărirea dezvoltării durabile și asigurarea unui viitor sigur și prosper pentru toți. În calitate de agenție principală pentru IDSSD, UNESCO se angajează să încurajeze implicarea tinerilor și entuziasmul pentru participare.
În acest context, UNESCO a inițiat Concursul IIDA 2024 pentru a implica și responsabiliza tinerii, încurajându-i să își folosească creativitatea și abilitățile inovatoare pentru a aborda rolul științei în atingerea Obiectivelor de Dezvoltare Durabilă (ODD). Concursul IIDA 2024 se aliniază viziunii și misiunii IDSSD de a construi o cultură a științei, punând accentul pe alfabetizarea științifică, cunoștințele științifice utile, științele fundamentale, știința deschisă și sistemele naționale de inovare.
Tinerii designeri și inovatori aspiranți sunt invitați să participe la acest concurs.
Cererea este deschisă echipelor formate din până la 5 tineri, cu vârste cuprinse între 16 și 35 de ani, inclusiv studenților din licee și universități, precum și cercetătorilor, oamenilor de știință și inginerilor aflați la începutul carierei, cu accent pe egalitatea de gen. Cererea de candidaturi IIDA este deja deschisă, iar candidaturile trebuie să fie primite până la 13 octombrie 2024.
Aplicațiile eligibile vor fi examinate de un juriu, iar câștigătorii vor fi anunțați la sfârșitul lunii octombrie 2024 pe site-ul UNESCO.
Echipa câștigătoare va primi certificate din partea UNESCO, iar proiectele lor vor fi prezentate ca materiale promoționale cheie în cadrul evenimentelor și activităților globale IDSSD.

2024FutureDesignerInternationalInnovationDesignAwards(IIDA) & Science for SDGs Innovation Contest under the Umbrella of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development
The 2024 Future Designer International Innovation Design Awards (IIDA) & Science for SDGs Innovation Contest under the umbrella of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development will solicit innovation and creative works from young people around the world to raise awareness of and advocate for the important role of Science, Engineering and STEM in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aligning with the vision and mission of the International Decade of Science for Sustainable Development (IDSSD) to build a culture of science. Specifically, to contribute to the five main outcomes: 1) empowering the global community through scientific literacy,2)generatingandutilisingactionablescientificknowledgetoaccelerateSDGprogressaligned with human rights, 3) advancing basic sciences through global research collaborations, 4) promoting thewidespreadandequitableuseofopensciencetodemocratisescientificprocessesandknowledge access, and 5) transforming national innovation systems to better serve scientific and societal needs. These outcomes are designed to foster a more inclusive and effective scientific foundation for sustainable development worldwide.

The IIDAis co-organized by UNESCO and the Organizing Committeeof FutureDesigners International InnovationDesignAwards&ScienceforSDGsInnovationContest,carriedoutbythe UNESCO-UNITRAIN Youth Competence Development Project.

3. Eligibilitycriteria
The IIDA welcomes the participation of young people aged 16 to 35 from around the world, including young secondary school and university students, as well as early-career scientists and engineers. Applicationmustbesubmittedbyteamsofup tosix members.Forteamswith morethan2members, there should be at least one female member of the team in order to ensure gender equality.
4. Eligibleentries
We welcome a diverse range of works that advocate Sciences for the SDGs. We expect to see how diverseartisticcreativitiescouldunveilthebeautyandpowerofsciences,exploringandrevealingthe profound impact of scientific endeavors on our path toward a more sustainable future.
These works can take many forms, including but not limited to, posters, videos, GIFs, illustrations, games,apps,interactivedesigns,aswellassustainabledesignssuchasproducts,decorations,fashion, architecture, design and public art.
5. Applicationprocedure
The application process will be completed on the designated IIDA application website (https://www.fd.show/member/login/iida).Theapplicationplatformwillbeopenfrom23September to 13 October 2024. The application will be submitted by each team. Please prepare in advance relevant information required by the application platform in order to submit the work and the information in due time.

Still images: Format: JPG, Resolution: 300 dpi, Size: Not less than A3, Maximum of 5 pictures in JPG format for each work.

7. Certificate
Winnerswill be presentedwith a certificatejointly issuedbyUNESCO andIIDA.IIDA andUNESCO will announce winners on UNESCO’s website. Their projects will be showcased as key promotional materials in IDSSD activities.
